CPR and First Aid Training presented by Daisy Mountain Fire & Medical
Sudden cardiac arrest can occur without warning, to anyone, at any time. It’s a leading cause of death among adults in the U.S. First Aid training helps prepare individuals to deliver initial emergency procedures until first responders arrive.
These Community and Workplace classes utilize the American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) curriculum and certified instructors. Satisfactory completion of the course entitles students to a certificate valid for two years from date of completion. Registration is required. Space is limited. The cost is $25 per student, per class, due at the start of class, payable with exact change or check made payable to Daisy Mountain Fire & Medical.

CPR Training When: Thursday November 8, 2018 6pm – 10pm
Description: First Aid for the Community and Workplace, utilizing the American Safety and Health Institute curriculum and certified instructors. Class format is partially lecture and partially practical (hands-on).
Purpose and Mission: Citizen Corps embraces personal preparedness, personal responsibility and the spirit of volunteerism. Our mission is to educate and prepare residents and visitors for all emergencies; through public education, community outreach and training.
Third Tuesday of each month - regularly scheduled monthly business meeting and training held. Guests are welcomed.

Community Emergency Preparedness Training:
Runs 8 consecutive Thursday evenings at the Daisy Mountain Fire Department (DMFD) station - #141 (43814 N. New River Road). DMFD offers this FREE class developed by the Department of Homeland Security for Local Community Preparedness and tailored for the Daisy Mountain communities. Training is open to anyone who is at least 18 years of age. Next class will be scheduled and announced soon. This training will enable you to identify and reduce potential hazards in your home and workplace. You will also learn what steps to take that will prepare you for a disaster.
